Rhys Jones & Christina Wheeler Old-Time Appalachian Dance Tunes
Rhys and Christina return to kick off the second season of the NYC Barn Dance!!! They are as good a pair of old-time dance musicians as the Big Apple has to offer. Rhys has been playing for dances since he was ten and Christina is a highly-trained classical musician as well. They trade off on fiddle and guitar which shows not only their skill and versatility, but with what unity of rythym and drive they play. You surely won't be able to get your feet still or keep seated in your chair. Luckily, there's lots of room for dancing! Rhys Jones & Christina Wheeler

David Harvey Circles, Squares, Whole Sets, Contras
David has been calling dances for 15 years, primarily in New Hampshire and, since his arrival in NYC in August 2005, has called for public dances, private parties, and for school/church functions. He specializes in putting on dances for many beginners, and he gets them dancing and having a good time faster than they often thought was possible! His repetoire also has great variety, so veteran dancers will find plenty for themselves, too. In short, you can't have too much or too little experience to have a good time!
